Shameless

Self-promotion makes for some odd feelings. All through childhood, I learned that you shouldn't put yourself forward, that it was rude and kind of distasteful to call attention to yourself. And here is a blog, created for the purpose of putting myself—or at least my work—forward.

I'd like you to buy my books and maybe read or produce my plays. There will be more about those as time goes by. But that’s only part of the self that I’m throwing out there, because I expect that I’ll occasionally throw a piece of attitude out there as well.

For instance, why do so many churches just hate it when poor people show up at their doors? (How’s that for changing the subject?)
